On the way to visit Roslyn, we found this pretty lake. And somewhere along the way, we passed the mountain peaks, with snow! Washington State has some great scenery.
Roslyn was made famous when it was the site of the filming of the TV show called Northern Exposure.
The buildings are restored and are in good shape and are picturesque.
Coal mines were close to town, and in 1892 there was an explosion in one of the mines and 45 of the workers were killed. They keep signs, flowers and black ribbons on the graves of the workers killed in that disaster.
It's a very quiet place and mostly kept up, except for a few areas.
